Never skip more then 2 days of running again! Last week was crazy busy with me being gone at girls camp, then I got home and had a bunch of homework to catch up on. Homework is a constant thing at our house since Derek and I are both working on our master's degree.
I finally got a run in today. I went with my awesome friend/neighbor, no really, she is fabulous. She pushes me, encourages me, tells me when I'm being lazy, and tells me when I'm doing great. Love her! Anyways, we met at the local high school track and got to work. I did slow down my intervals to 1:00/1:00 but after about 7 intervals I was tired and I was going to shorten the run yet again but then the kids started acting up so we finished up with a 5 minute walk. Total today was 2 miles, my fastest mile yet at 12:41 though! Average pace was 14:28. I've still got some tweaking to do to figure out the magical ratio for my intervals.
Registration for the Disney Princess marathon weekend is less then a month away. I'm stressing over it because Disney races sell out in a matter of hours, HOURS people. I'm so, so excited though. I booked our hotel room last week and we'll be staying in a Little Mermaid themed room. That was my favorite movie as a kid!
Oh and this week starts my "official" half marathon training schedule for my race in November. I will be running on Tues/Thurs and a longer run on Saturday. I'll probably do some cross training in between as well. Only 19 weeks to go for the Pensacola Half!!
I wonder how Sara is doing on her cycle training?!
Good job girly! :)
